Barca were involved in 6 competitions in 2015/16 after completing their 2nd continental treble in the previous year. Success in La Liga and the Copa del Rey wins, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup titles meant that they finished with 5 trophies.

For the 1st time in 7 years, Leo Messi wasn't the clubs top goalscorer, that honour went to Luis Suarez after he scored 59 goals in all competitions. It was also the first season without Xavi, who departed earlier in the summer.
