Barcelona enjoyed one of the most successful campaigns in their history during 2005/06, retaining the La Liga title and winning the UEFA Champions League to complete a memorable European and domestic double under Frank Rijkaard.
Having ended their six-year wait for a league championship in 2004/05, Barcelona continued their resurgence with an outstanding season. The Catalan side finished top of La Liga with 82 points, twelve ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, and also secured the Spanish Super Cup.
Their greatest achievement came in the Champions League, where Barcelona defeated Arsenal 2–1 in the final at the Stade de France. After falling behind to Sol Campbell's first-half header, late goals from Samuel Eto'o and Juliano Belletti secured the club's second European Cup and first since 1992.
Ronaldinho remained central to Barcelona's success, producing another exceptional campaign and establishing himself among the world's leading footballers. Eto'o finished as La Liga's leading goalscorer with 26 goals, while Deco, Xavi, Andrés Iniesta and Carles Puyol formed part of a squad combining technical quality with attacking flair.
The campaign also marked an important stage in Lionel Messi's emergence. Having made his official first-team debut in October 2004 while wearing number 30, the Argentine was assigned the number 19 shirt during the 2005/06 season and became an increasingly prominent member of Rijkaard's squad. Still a teenager, Messi was beginning a career that would establish him among the greatest players in football history.
Produced by Nike, the 2005/06 away shirt featured a distinctive fluorescent yellow design with navy detailing. Worn during Barcelona's historic Champions League and La Liga double-winning season, it remains one of the club's most recognisable away shirts of the modern era.

Condition
Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.
Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.
Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.
Our condition guide
10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.
9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.
8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.
7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.
6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.
Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.
