Barcelona finished second in La Liga during the 2003/04 campaign under Frank Rijkaard, who had taken charge of the club in the summer of 2003 following a sixth-place finish the previous season.
The campaign marked the beginning of a new era at Camp Nou, with Ronaldinho arriving from Paris Saint-Germain and quickly establishing himself as one of the team's most influential players. The Brazilian joined a squad featuring Xavi, Carles Puyol, Andrés Iniesta, Javier Saviola and Patrick Kluivert.
Following an inconsistent start to the season, Barcelona produced an impressive run of form during the second half of the campaign, including nine consecutive league victories. Their resurgence saw the Catalan side climb the table and eventually finish five points behind champions Valencia, securing qualification for the following season's UEFA Champions League.
One of the campaign's most memorable moments came in April 2004, when Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2–1 at the Santiago Bernabéu. Xavi scored the winning goal following an equaliser from Kluivert, securing Barcelona's first league victory at the stadium since 1997.
In European competition, Barcelona participated in the UEFA Cup following their sixth-place finish in 2002/03. The club progressed to the fourth round before being eliminated by Celtic, losing 1–0 on aggregate.
Although the campaign ended without a major trophy, Barcelona's improvement under Rijkaard and the emergence of Ronaldinho as a central figure laid the foundations for the domestic and European success that followed.
Produced by Nike, the 2003/04 Barcelona home shirt featured the club's traditional blue-and-red vertical stripes, complemented by contrasting navy detailing around the collar and sleeves. The design incorporated the Barcelona crest and Nike branding without a commercial shirt sponsor, maintaining the club's long-standing tradition during this period.

Condition
Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.
Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.
Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.
Our condition guide
10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.
9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.
8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.
7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.
6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.
Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.
Product Care

Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Keep away from damp environments or direct sunlight

- If hanging, use a wide/padded hanger to help maintain shape
Protecting prints, badges and sponsor logos
- Do not iron directly over prints, namesets, patches or sponsor logos
