Nike as we know it, was incorporated in 1971 in Oregon USA. it would be 8 years before Nike made their first forays into the beautiful game with local team the Portland Timbers and it wouldn't be for another 4 years before Nike ventured into the European Market, but it was right at the end of the 80s and early 90s that they really came into their own, becoming a main stay on the world stage.
