2024/25 saw Villa participate for the very first time the Champions League, thanks to Unai Emery, where they reached the quarter-finals of the competition. The club eventually finished 6th in the Premier League and reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup. Striker Ollie Watkins ended the season as the club's top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions.
