Worn across 2 seasons, the first, the 2002/03 campaign was Glenn Hoddle's 2nd full season in charge and it was considered a major disappointment as the club finished 10th in the league and exited both domestic cup competitions in the early rounds. Club legend Teddy Sheringham played his final season with the club, signing off with 13 goals in all competitions.
2003/04 didn't get much better as Hoddle was sacked after a poor start to the the season. David Pleat took over first team duties but was unable to inspire Spurs as they finished 14th, their lowest since 1998.
