Description & Sizing
Real Madrid enjoyed a memorable 2001/02 campaign under Vicente del Bosque, celebrating the club's centenary and securing their ninth European Cup.
The season featured a squad of established stars including Raúl, Fernando Morientes, Roberto Carlos, Luís Figo and Zinedine Zidane, who had arrived from Juventus in the summer of 2001 for a world-record transfer fee.
Los Blancos finished third in La Liga with 66 points, behind Valencia and Deportivo La Coruña, while also reaching the Copa del Rey final against Deportivo at the Santiago Bernabéu. However, the visitors secured a 2–1 victory on the day of Madrid's centenary celebrations.
Madrid's greatest achievement came in the UEFA Champions League, where they overcame Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the knockout stages to reach the final against Bayer Leverkusen at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
Raúl opened the scoring before Lúcio equalised for the German side. Shortly before half-time, Zidane produced one of the most celebrated goals in European Cup history, striking Roberto Carlos' cross with a left-footed volley to secure a 2–1 victory.
The triumph delivered Real Madrid's ninth European Cup and their third Champions League title in five seasons, marking a fitting achievement during the club's centenary year.
Produced by adidas, the 2001/02 home shirt featured Real Madrid's traditional all-white design with understated detailing, reflecting the club's centenary celebrations. Associated with Zidane's famous volley and the ninth European Cup triumph, it remains one of the most recognisable shirts in Real Madrid's history.

Condition
Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.
Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.
Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.
Our condition guide
10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.
9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.
8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.
7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.
6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.
Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.

Protecting prints, badges and sponsor logos
- Do not iron directly over prints, namesets, patches or sponsor logos
