“The Geordie Goal Machine”

Alan Shearer. A true Newcastle United legend. The striker joined his hometown club in 1996 for a then-world record transfer fee of £15 million and quickly established himself as a fan favourite. The Geordie’s lethal finishing, physicality, and aerial ability made him a nightmare for opposition defenders. Despite not having a trophy cabinet to rival his incredible goal-scoring record, Shearer's predatory instincts in front of goal were simply unmatched. With a mammoth Premier League record tally of 260 strikes to his name, he could have probably scored with his eyes closed.
