2023/24 was an interesting season both on and off the pitch for Manchester United. A group stage exit in the Champions League saw the club finish bottom of their group with just 4 points, their worst-ever performance in the competition. In the Premier League, United finished 8th with a negative goal difference for the first time in their history.
The season, and possibly Eric Ten Hag's job, was saved thanks to an FA Cup victory which saw the club overcome their cross-city rivals in the final, 2–1. Goals from the emerging talents of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo secured the famous trophy for the 13th time.
