Worn across the 2007/08 and 2008/09 campaigns, this Manchester United shirt featured during a period of significant success under Sir Alex Ferguson, as the club secured consecutive Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
The 2007/08 campaign saw Manchester United complete a Premier League and UEFA Champions League double, finishing two points ahead of Chelsea in the league before facing the same opponents in the Champions League final in Moscow.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the final before Frank Lampard equalised for Chelsea. Following a 1–1 draw after extra time, United secured a 6–5 victory in the penalty shoot-out, with Edwin van der Sar saving Nicolas Anelka's decisive attempt to deliver the club's third European Cup.
Ronaldo finished the campaign with 42 goals in all competitions, including 31 in the Premier League, earning the European Golden Shoe and the 2008 Ballon d'Or.
Manchester United retained the Premier League title in 2008/09, finishing four points ahead of Liverpool and securing their 18th English league championship, equalling the record at the time.
The season also saw United win the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan, defeating LDU Quito 1–0 through a Wayne Rooney goal, before securing the League Cup with a penalty shoot-out victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
United reached a second consecutive UEFA Champions League final in May 2009, where they were defeated 2–0 by Barcelona in Rome.
The campaign marked Ronaldo's final season during his first spell at Old Trafford before his transfer to Real Madrid, concluding a two-year period in which Manchester United secured domestic, European and international silverware.
Produced by Nike, the 2007–09 home shirt featured Manchester United's traditional red colours with white detailing and the AIG sponsor. Associated with consecutive Premier League titles, the 2008 UEFA Champions League triumph in Moscow and Cristiano Ronaldo's Ballon d'Or-winning campaign, it remains one of Manchester United's most significant home shirts of the modern era.

Condition
Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.
Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.
Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.
Our condition guide
10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.
9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.
8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.
7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.
6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.
Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.
