Chelsea finished 12th in the Premier League during the 2022/23 campaign, recording 44 points in a season that marked the beginning of a new era under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
The campaign featured several managerial changes, with Thomas Tuchel departing in September 2022 and Graham Potter appointed as his successor. Following Potter's departure in April 2023, Bruno Saltor briefly took charge as interim head coach before former Chelsea midfielder and manager Frank Lampard returned as caretaker manager until the end of the season.
Chelsea's squad featured established players including Thiago Silva, Reece James, Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz, alongside new arrivals such as Enzo Fernández, Mykhailo Mudryk and Benoît Badiashile.
In European competition, Chelsea reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, overcoming Borussia Dortmund 2–1 on aggregate in the Round of 16 before being eliminated by eventual champions Real Madrid following a 4–0 aggregate defeat.
Domestically, Chelsea finished 12th in the Premier League, their lowest league position since 1993/94 and their first finish outside the top half since 1995/96. Their FA Cup and League Cup campaigns both ended against Manchester City in the third round.
The season represented a period of significant transition at Stamford Bridge, with changes in ownership, management and playing personnel shaping the club's preparations for the following campaign.
The shorts come with a Soccer Archive COA.
