Getting to San Siro from The Soccer Archive Milano
The simplest public-transport route from our store uses Vetra M4, San Babila M1, Lotto and San Siro Stadio M5. Shakhtar Donetsk supporters have been allocated sections 301-318 at San Siro. Allow extra time for ticket and ID checks, security screening and crowd routing.
Vetra M4 → San Babila M1 → Lotto M5 → San Siro Stadio
Allow approximately 40–55 minutes from the store, plus security queues
ATM Mi1–Mi3 standard ticket €2.20 (90 minutes); contactless accepted
- Walk from Corso di Porta Ticinese, 62 to Vetra M4.
- Take M4 towards Linate to San Babila, then M1 towards Rho Fieramilano to Lotto.
- Change to M5 towards San Siro Stadio and alight at the terminus.
- Follow the away-sector directions printed on your ticket and any steward or police instructions. Do not assume the previous fixture's gate applies.
Vetra M4 → San Babila M1 → Lotto, then walk
Allow approximately 45–60 minutes overall, depending on crowds
Lotto is roughly 15–20 minutes' walk from the stadium
- Take M4 from Vetra to San Babila and change to M1 towards Rho Fieramilano.
- Get off at Lotto M1.
- Walk towards San Siro using official signs and the route permitted for away supporters.
- Allow additional time for any segregated approaches or matchday restrictions.
Check your official Shakhtar ticket
Away sections 301–318; tickets €10 through Shakhtar
Specific gate, meeting point and coach arrangements: not confirmed
- Buy through the official Shakhtar website, not a home-supporter ticket link.
- Tickets require full personal details and an ID scan/photo; issued names cannot be changed.
- Carry the matching original valid identity document and your PDF ticket.
- Check Shakhtar's updates before setting off for any designated approach, shuttle or meeting point.
Returning to central Milano
Expect queues, possible holding periods and temporary restrictions
Confirm last trains and any extended service with ATM on matchday
- ATM advises that Segesta and San Siro Ippodromo M5 close around the end of matches.
- Use San Siro Stadio M5 or Lotto M1/M5 when permitted by stewards.
- The M1–M5 interchange at Lotto can be restricted; ATM says the same ticket remains valid when changing through external gates.
- Surface routes 16, 49, 64, 78/Q78 and 80 may be diverted. Do not assume a fixture-specific late train extension.
Travel Tips for Shakhtar Donetsk Supporters Staying in Milano
Arriving from Malpensa Airport
The Malpensa Express connects Malpensa with Milano Cadorna and Milano Centrale. From Cadorna, take M1 towards Lotto, then M5 towards San Siro Stadio.
Arriving from Bergamo Airport (Orio al Serio)
Airport coaches connect Bergamo Airport with Milano Centrale. From Centrale, take M2 to Garibaldi and M5 towards San Siro Stadio.
Arriving from Linate Airport
Take M4 directly to Vetra for our store. To reach San Siro, change at San Babila to M1 and at Lotto to M5.
Travelling from Ukraine or elsewhere in Europe
Ukraine's airspace remains closed to civilian flights. Supporters departing Ukraine may need to travel overland to an operating airport in a neighbouring country. Check current border, travel-document and entry requirements for your own nationality and circumstances before booking.
Metro tickets and contactless
ATM's standard Mi1–Mi3 ticket costs €2.20 for 90 minutes. You can tap a supported bank card, phone or watch on ATM services; use the same card or device to enter and exit the Metro. The ATM app provides current service information.
San Siro and the journey home
Check your ticketed away approach before travelling. ATM warns that Segesta and San Siro Ippodromo M5 close around full-time; San Siro Stadio and Lotto are the usual alternatives. Queues and police crowd controls can delay the return journey. Check for any late-night service extension before the match.
Taxi apps
Licensed taxis can be booked through Freenow. Road closures and post-match traffic may delay pickups near San Siro.
Matchday Tips - San Siro
A few quick pointers to keep the journey smooth and the experience stress-free on the day of the game.
Arrive Early
Allow plenty of time for Metro crowds, ticket/ID checks and security. Check the club's final instructions for any specific arrival window.
Official Away Tickets
Shakhtar confirms €10 tickets in sections 301–318, sold through its official website. The exact gate must be checked on your ticket.
Bring Matching ID
Shakhtar requires personal details and an identity-document image at purchase. Carry a valid document matching the ticket. Names cannot be amended once issued.
Leave Large Bags Behind
Shakhtar advises leaving backpacks, suitcases and other large items at your accommodation. Security screening applies; re-entry is not permitted.
Follow Official Away Guidance
Any dedicated meeting point, away entrance, coach parking or shuttle arrangement for this fixture must be confirmed by Shakhtar, Inter or local authorities.
Plan Your Return
ATM advises using San Siro Stadio M5 or Lotto after the match. Expect queues and check any changes to the last-train timetable.
Check Shakhtar's official ticket guidance, Inter and ATM before travelling. No specific away gate, meeting point or police transport plan has been verified for this match.
