Getting to Como from The Soccer Archive Milano

RB Leipzig visit Como at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia on Thursday 10 September 2026, kick-off 21:00. If you are staying in Milano, the simplest plan is to travel to Como by train well before kick-off and walk to the stadium from the station. The ground sits close to Lake Como and the city centre.

Recommended

Ticinese → Milano Centrale → Como S. Giovanni

Approx. 70-90 mins from our store to central Como

Regional train from Milano Centrale to Como S. Giovanni: from approx. €5.20 each way

  1. From our store at Corso di Porta Ticinese, 62, walk to Vetra (M4).
  2. Take M4 to San Babila, then change to M3 towards Comasina and alight at Milano Centrale.
  3. Take a direct regional train from Milano Centrale to Como S. Giovanni; the rail journey is around 40 minutes.
  4. From Como S. Giovanni, allow roughly 10-15 minutes on foot to reach Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.
Alternative

Milano Cadorna → Como Lago

Approx. 60 mins by train, plus local connections

Regional train to Como Lago: approx. €4.80 each way

  1. Travel from Ticinese to Milano Cadorna by local public transport.
  2. Take a Trenord service from Milano Cadorna to Como Lago; journeys take around 60 minutes.
  3. Como Lago is right by the lake and central Como; allow around 15-20 minutes on foot to the stadium.
  4. This is a useful daytime option, but do not rely on the normal Como Lago timetable for the post-match return - scheduled services finish before a 21:00 kick-off ends.
Road

Taxi / Private Transfer from Milano

Approx. 50-75 mins, traffic dependent

Significantly more expensive than rail; agree/check the fare before travelling

  1. A taxi or pre-booked private transfer can take you directly from Milano to Como.
  2. Allow extra time for A9 motorway traffic and matchday restrictions around the lakeside stadium area.
  3. Ask to be dropped in central Como rather than expecting vehicle access immediately beside the stadium.
  4. This may be the most practical option for groups who need a guaranteed return to Milano after the final whistle.
Important

Returning to Milano after the match

Plan this before leaving Milano

Normal published timetables do not provide a straightforward late return after a 21:00 kick-off

  1. The match is scheduled for 21:00, so the final whistle should be close to 23:00.
  2. Current published Trenord route pages show regular Como-to-Milano services ending too early to be a safe post-match plan.
  3. Check Trenord, Como and RB Leipzig supporter information on matchday for any special or additional services.
  4. If no suitable late train is confirmed, arrange a supporter coach, taxi or private transfer back to Milano in advance.

Travel Tips for RB Leipzig Supporters Staying in Milano

Arriving from Malpensa Airport

For supporters basing themselves in Milano, the easiest option is the Malpensa Express. Services connect the airport with Milano Centrale and Milano Cadorna. If Como is your next stop, Milano Centrale is particularly useful because direct trains to Como S. Giovanni take around 40 minutes.

Arriving from Bergamo Airport (Orio al Serio)

There is no direct rail station at the airport. Shuttle buses such as Orioshuttle and Terravision run to Milano Centrale; allow roughly an hour depending on traffic. From Centrale, continue by direct train to Como S. Giovanni on matchday.

Arriving from Linate Airport

Linate is the easiest airport for central Milano. Take the M4 metro from the airport towards the city. For our store, alight at Vetra; for Milano Centrale, change at San Babila to the M3. This makes it straightforward to stay in Milano and then continue to Como by train.

Buying Milano public transport tickets

Use an ATM ticket or contactless payment for Milano metro, tram and bus journeys. Tap correctly when required and keep the same payment card/device for the full journey. Regional rail tickets to Como are separate and should be bought through Trenord or at the station.

Buy your Como train ticket before travelling

Trenord runs direct services from Milano Centrale to Como S. Giovanni in around 40 minutes, with second-class fares from about €5.20. For the outward journey, travel early rather than aiming for the last possible connection - Como will be busy around its first Champions League home match.

Plan the return before kick-off

This is the biggest change from a normal Milano matchday guide. A 21:00 kick-off in Como means standard published rail services may finish before you can get back to the station after the match. Check official supporter updates for special trains or coaches; otherwise pre-book your return transport to Milano.

Taxi apps

For local journeys in Milano, licensed taxis can be booked through Freenow. For a late Como-to-Milano return, arrange the journey in advance rather than relying on finding a car immediately after the final whistle.

Matchday Tips - Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, Como

Como v RB Leipzig is scheduled for Thursday 10 September 2026 at 21:00. The Sinigaglia is a compact lakeside stadium, so arrive in Como early and follow the visiting-supporter instructions issued by the clubs.

⏱️

Arrive in Como Early

Aim to be in Como well before kick-off. The city centre and stadium area are compact, and security checks plus visiting-fan routing can add time.

🎟️

Use the Official Away Ticket

Como states that RB Leipzig supporters should buy away-sector tickets through the dedicated channel activated by RB Leipzig. Keep your ticket and valid photo ID ready.

👕

Stay in the Away Sector

Como’s current stadium rules say visiting-team apparel should not be displayed in home areas. Follow your ticket allocation and the instructions from stewards and police.

🎒

Travel Light

Bring only what you need and check the latest stadium regulations before travelling. Security procedures can change for UEFA fixtures.

🚆

Sort the Return First

Do not assume there will be a normal late train back to Milano after the final whistle. Check official updates for special services or pre-book alternative transport.

📍

Follow Visiting-Fan Routing

The stadium is at Viale Giuseppe Sinigaglia, 2. Once in Como, follow police/steward instructions rather than relying only on your usual walking route.

Matchday operations can change at short notice. Check RB Leipzig, Como, UEFA and Trenord updates before travelling, particularly for the away-sector entrance and post-match transport.
