Travel Tips for Visiting London

Getting from Soho to Selhurst Park

Recommended: walk from The Soccer Archive to Green Park, take the Jubilee line to London Bridge, then a National Rail service to Norwood Junction. Selhurst Park is around a 10-15 minute walk from Norwood Junction. Allow roughly 50-60 minutes from our Soho store before matchday crowding.

Alternative: travel from central London via London Victoria to Selhurst or Thornton Heath, then walk 10-15 minutes to the stadium. Check live journey planners before leaving, as service patterns can change.

Oyster & contactless

Oyster pay as you go and contactless payment can be used across the Tube and on the rail routes serving the Selhurst Park area. Use the same card or device to tap in and out for the whole journey.

Matchday engineering works

Important for Thursday 17 September: planned late-night engineering work affects London Overground and some Southern services between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace / West Croydon. The main restrictions begin late in the evening, so check National Rail and TfL again on matchday before travelling back after the game.

After the final whistle

Expect busy pavements, station entrances and queues around Norwood Junction, Selhurst and Thornton Heath. Do not plan a tight connection. Follow police, steward and station staff directions, and allow extra time to get back into central London.

Arriving in London

Heathrow: Elizabeth line or Piccadilly line into central London. Gatwick: direct rail services connect the airport with London Victoria and London Bridge. Stansted: Stansted Express serves Liverpool Street. Luton: use Luton DART to Luton Airport Parkway, then rail services into London. London City: DLR connects with the Tube network.

Travel documents for Polish visitors

Polish visitors should check their UK entry requirements before travel. Most European visitors need a valid passport and a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) unless an exemption applies. The official ETA currently costs £20 and is linked electronically to the passport used to apply.

Walking & exploring Soho

Soho is in Zone 1 and is easy to explore on foot. The Soccer Archive is a few minutes from Piccadilly Circus, with Leicester Square and Oxford Circus also within walking distance.
