2015/16 saw Roma eventually finish the 3rd in Serie A, however the season wasn't without it challenges.Rudi Garcia began the season as teams manager but was sacked in mid-January after a run of poor results.

Former coach Luciano Spalletti returned to the club and after a defeat in late January, the club went on a run of 14 wins in 17 games, securing a Champions League spot for the next season.
