SUNDERLAND 2000-02 HOME SHIRT - PHILLIPS 10 - XL
GRADE
DESCRIPTION
Excellent condition. Club crest and Nike swoosh are embroidered. Club sponsor is flock and embossed with minimal colour wear. Player name/number is flock and heat applied. No pulls, two small bobbles to lower front. Colours and stitching are excellent.
Worn across 2 seasons, this shirt saw Sunderland have another strong season under Peter Reid in 2000/01. After being as high as 2nd in February, the Black Cats were unable to keep up their form and finished in 7th place, matching the previous seasons performance.
2001/02 was a contrasting season for the team as they narrowly avoided relegation. They were the lowest scoring team in the league with just 29 goals and ended the season in 17th place, just 4 points above the drop zone.
