Role Overview:

We seek a proactive, football-obsessed Retail Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving the success of our London location. In this role, you’ll assist in daily operations, help lead a passionate team, and ensure every customer leaves with a piece of football history. This role is ideal for a retail professional eager to grow their leadership skills in a fast-paced environment while sharing their love for vintage fashion and football heritage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support: Assist in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflows, exceptional visual merchandising, and adherence to health/safety standards.

  • Team Collaboration: Support the recruitment, training, and motivation of retail associates, fostering a culture of expertise and customer-centric service.

  • Sales Contribution: Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets, monitor KPIs, and execute creative promotions to boost revenue.

  • Inventory Assistance: Assist in stock management, including ordering, replenishment, and audits, to maintain a curated collection of rare vintage shirts.

  • Customer Engagement: Deliver personalised service, resolve customer inquiries, and help build lasting relationships with collectors and fans.

  • Event Support: Assist in organising in-store events (e.g., product launches and meet-ups) to enhance community engagement.

  • Trend Awareness: Stay informed about vintage fashion and football trends to support buying and merchandising decisions. 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 1–2+ years in retail, preferably in a supervisory role within fashion, sports retail, or vintage/luxury goods.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Ability to support team development, manage schedules, and resolve challenges in partnership with the Store Manager.

  • Sales Focus: Experience contributing to sales targets and retail strategies.

  • Football Passion: Strong knowledge of football history, clubs, and players—bonus if you’re a collector or enthusiast.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in POS systems, inventory software, Google Workspace, and visual merchandising basics.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, matchdays, and peak retail periods.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours a week over five days (Monday to Sunday), Permanent
