2012/13 saw Roma finish 6th in Serie A and as runners-up in the Coppa Italia after losing the final 1-0, conceding a 2nd half goal to their fierce cross-city rivals. Striker Dani Osvaldo  was the team's top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions.
