Excellent condition. Club crest and Nike swoosh are embroidered. Club sponsor if flock and embossed. Player number and rear club lettering are PolyFlex and heat applied. No pulls, few small bobbles to lower rear. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.

Worn across 2 seasons, this away shirt saw contrasting fortunes for the club. 2001/02 saw a 7th placed finish in the Bundesliga, securing a return to European football through the Intertoto Cup.

The first half of the 2002/03 season saw elimination from the cup and in the club in the relegation zone, as a result, manager Andreas Brehme was sacked. His replacement, Eric Gerets was recruited and improved things as the team eventually finished 14th and made it to the DFB-Pokal final before a 3–1 defeat. Despite this the team did qualify once again for the UEFA Cup.
