Worn at the 1990 World Cup where Cameroon became the first African team to reach the World Cup quarter-finals, they were eventually eliminated courtesy of a 3-2 defeat after extra time.

Striker Roger Milla achieved international stardom at 38 years old, an age at which most forwards have retired, by scoring 4 goals at the tournament. He became the oldest goalscorer in World Cup history, each one celebrated with his iconic dance by the corner flag.
