Worn across 2 seasons, 2001/02 saw Bolton register 3 wins from their first 3 games top flight games to put them top of the table with Sam Allardyce boasting that his side were capable of winning their first-ever league title. Joking aside, the club then eventually finished 16th to secure another season in the Premiership.
