DESCRIPTION
Very good condition. Club crest, sponsor and Umbro logo are flock and embossed with no signs of wear or cracking. Sleeve motif is PolyFlex and heat applied with cracking and wear. One pull to upper front (approx 4cm), various small bobbles across shirt. Colours and stitching are excellent.
Worn across 2 seasons, 1991/92 saw a strong start and possible qualification for European football fade away after only 3 wins in their final 15 league games. The team ended up finishing in 14th place.
1992/93 followed a similar pattern as Chelsea stood 2nd after 19 games, but went into freefall after that, going 12 matches without a win. Manager Ian Porterfield paid for the team's poor form by being sacked and replaced by David Webb. He managed to steer Chelsea to safety, but his contract was not renewed by the board. The club ended the season in 11th with 14 wins, 14 draws and 14 losses.
