Worn as Napoli were unable to retain their Serie A title in 1990/91, finishing in a disappointing 8th place. Striker Diego Maradona ended his association with the club after 115 goals in 259 appearances, 2 x Serie A titles, 1 x Coppa Italia, 1 x Supercoppa Italiana and the UEFA Cup, all this in 7 hugely successful seasons.
