Excellent condition. Club crest is an embroidered patch, stitched onto shirt. Club sponsors, manufacturer logo and shirt design elements are sublimated. Player name/number are flock and heat applied. No bobbles, one small internal pull to left shoulder. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.

Chelsea began the 1997/98 season well, however when manager Ruud Gullit was sacked after a dispute with the club chairman he was replaced with striker Gianluca Vialli. Within 3 months he had guided the Blues to victory in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the League Cup.
