DESCRIPTION

Very good condition. This is a player version of the shirt issued for the match and has features that differ from the replica versions including the correct player size cloth print, professionally machine stitched. Club crest and Umbro logos are embroidered, club sponsor is plastic and heat applied with minimal wear. No pulls, few minor bobbles across both sides of shirt. One small mark to lower rear of shirt. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.

1991 saw British sportswear giants Umbro take control of kit making duties for the Partenopei, taking over from local suppliers Enerre (NR) and going to market with this striking geometric design, coupled with equally eye catching away and third shirts.

The club attempted to fill a Diego shaped hole with diminutive and technically gifted Sardinian Gianfranco Zola and proven goalscorer Daniel Fonseca. They also added the commanding French centre back Laurent Blanc and talented Swedish midfielder Jonas Thern. All that and they still managed to give local boy and future World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro his debut.
