2014/15 saw Napoli unable to retain their Coppa Italia title as they were eliminated in the semi-finals after a 2-1 aggregate defeat. The club did win the Supercoppa Italiana and reach the semi-finals of the Europa League with Gonzalo Higuaín ending the season as the teams top scorer with 29 goals in all competitions.
