Excellent condition. Club crest is an embroidered patch stitched onto shirt, Reebok logo is embroidered. Club sponsor is flock and embossed with minimal colour wear. Player name and number are flock and heat applied. No pulls or bobbles. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.
In 1996/97 Liverpool led the league for much of the season and had a 5 point lead at the top before the turn of the year. However, the team were overtaken by and it was United who ultimately won the league.
An appearance in the Cup Winners Cup ended at the semi-final stage however one bright point was the rise of a teenage Michael Owen. He scored on is debut against Wimbledon setting himself of the road to being one of the most feared strikers over the next few seasons.
