Arsenal's league form was inconsistent and were as low as 8th at one point, however an 8-game winning run between February and April managed to secure them 3rd place and secure Champions League football the following season.

The main success of the season was the Gunners winning the FA Cup for a 12th time after comfortably winning 4–0 in the final.
