ENGLAND 1996-97 TRAINING SHIRT - XL

Very good condition. Federation crest is embroidered. Front sponsor is flock and heat applied, glue remnants of rear sponsoe still remain. Umbro logo and shirt design elements are sublimated. No pulls, few small bobbles across shirt. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.

Worn during the Euo '96 tournament which was most notable for England's penalty shootout heartache in the semi final and Gareth Southgate's penalty miss. Alan Shearer won the tournaments Golden Boot with 5 goals and featured in the team of the tournament with 3 other England squad members.

Beckham wasn't in the Euro '96 squad but wore the shirt making his England debut in September 1996 in a World Cup qualifier away against Moldova. This would be the start of his England journey which included 115 caps, infamous red cards, captains armbands and highs and lows for England's poster boy.
