Very good condition. Club crest is embroidered. Umbro logo and sponsors are sublimated. No pulls, few small bobbles to lower front of shirt. Player name and number are flock and heat applied. Minimal colour run to white parts of collar and front sponsor. Stitching in excellent condition.

As worn when United won the 96/97 Premier League title, the shirt will be forever remembered for David Beckham scoring from the halfway line on the opening day of the season.

The season ended with a major shock as Eric Cantona announced his retirement from playing, prompting manager Alex Ferguson to search for a new striker. The search ended with the £3.5 million capture of Teddy Sheringham.
