Celtic were closing in on the SPL title heading into the final round of league fixtures and with 2 minutes remaining on the clock, Celtic were leading 1–0, a result which would have secured the league. However, they proceeded to conceded 2 last-minute goals handing their rivals the title.

Just a week later Celtic had to shrug of the disappointment of the league to focus on the  Scottish Cup Final and in the days before the final Martin O'Neill announced he would be resigning as manager. He did however manage to sign off in style, marking his final game with a 1–0 win at Hampden Park to lift the trophy.

“The King of Kings”

Henrik Larsson's time at Celtic was nothing short of legendary. When the Swedish striker arrived at Celtic Park in 1997, there was not much fanfare. However, when he departed seven years later, he was celebrated as one of the club’s greatest ever players and a beloved figure among fans. His remarkable goal-scoring record of 242 goals in 315 appearances, 4 Scottish Premiership titles, 2 Scottish Cups, and 2 League Cups, is a testament to his impact on the club and Scottish football
