2003/04 saw Charlton register their best Premier League finish to date as the ended the season in 7th place, their highest league finish since the 1950's. It was a familiar feeling for the Addicks as they had been in contention for European places but their end-of-season form let them down once again and they were overtaken to slide out of the qualification spots.
