Worn across 2 seasons, firstly as the 2003/04 away shirt and then as the 2004/05 third shirt, the team has 2 very successful season with Sam Allardyce at the helm. Their 6th place finish in 2004/05 saw them just 3 points off qualification for the Champions League however it was enough to grant Bolton their 1st ever excursion into European competition, in the following seasons UEFA Cup.
