2014/15 was Milan's first season since 1998/99 where the club did not participate in any European competitions after finishing 8th the previous season. Club legend Filippo Inzaghi was appointed as manager to try and improve their fortunes.

Unfortunately, the former striker was unable to improve things for the Rossoneri as they finished in 10th place, their lowest finish since 1997/98.
