Roma finished 2nd in Serie A under Rudi Garcia for a 2nd consecutive season. This was mainly due to a poor run of form after the turn of the year where they drew 8 of 10 games causing them to lose ground in the title race.

The club were knocked out in the Round of 16 in the Europa League and the quarter-final of the Coppa Italia to ensure the Roman's ended the season with no silverware added to the trophy cabinet.
