GRADE
DESCRIPTION
Very good condition. Club crest and manufacturer logo are all flock and heat applied. No pulls or bobbles. Various small markings across both sides of shirt, likely from storage. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.
The 1983/84 season started well for the Hammers and they maintained good form throughout the first half of the season. A slump in form towards the end of the season saw them fall to 9th place, missing out on European competition. Tony Cottee was the club's top scorer with 19 goals in all competitions.
1984/85 followed a similar pattern with the team suffering a slump after the turn of the year and although they never occupied the relegation places, they spent several weeks just one place above. 2 wins in the last 3 games saw them secure survival just 2 points above the drop zone. Tony Cottee was once again the clubs top scorer with 24 goals in all competition
