SUNDERLAND 1995-97 AWAY SHIRT - L

Excellent condition. Club crest is embroidered. Club sponsor and manufacturer logos are flock with no signs of cracking. No pulls, few small bobbles to lower front. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.

This shirt design was worn across 2 season, firstly in 1995/96 as the club's away shirt and then in 1996/97 as a third shirt. The two seasons were contrasting ones for the fans. 1995/96 saw the club march to the First Division title, gaining promotion to the Premier League for the first time.

In 1996/97, the final season at their historic Roker Park home, the club started strongly and found themselves 11th by the end of January. The second half of the season and a run of 4 consecutive defeats saw them slip down the table and a 1–0 defeat on the final day of the season saw the Wearsiders relegated after just one season in the top flight.
