2005/06 saw Pavia finish 4th in Serie C1, securing a place in the promotion play-offs where they were unable to progress past the semi-finals after a 3-1 aggregate defeat. Strikers Marco Veronese and Vincenzo Chianese ended the season as the teams top goalscorers with 14 goals each.
