Very good condition. Club crest is embroidered. Umbro logo, club sponsor and shirt design elements are all sublimated. Player name/number are flock and heat applied. One pull below shirt sponsor (approx.2cm), few small bobbles across front of shirt. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.

The 1996/97 season saw manager Frank Clark sacked in late December. The replacement managerial choices did little to change the fortunes of the team and they ended the season in 20th place, relegated 7 points from safety.

The following season saw the club immediately return to the top flight, winning the First division with 94 points. Pierre van Hooijdonk was in fine form, netting 34 goals across all competitions.
