2021/22 saw City win their 4th Premier League title in 5 years after beating their rivals by a single point on the final match-day with a dramatic 3–2 victory. The late comeback matched their first title victory exactly 10 seasons earlier. 

Kevin De Bruyne was the club's top scorer in the league with 15 goals but Riyad Mahrez took the overall golden boot with 24 goals in all competitions.
