Excellent condition. Club crest is embroidered and stitched on. Reebok logo is embroidered. Club sponsor is flock and has no signs of wear. No pulls, few small bobbles to lower front of shirt. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.
In 1996/97 Liverpool led the league for much of the season and had a 5 point lead at the top before the turn of the year. However, the team were overtaken by and it was United who ultimately won the league.
An appearance in the Cup Winners Cup ended at the semi-final stage after defeat however one bright point was the rise of a teenage Michael Owen. He scored on is debut against Wimbledon setting himself of the road to being one of the most feared strikers over the next few seasons.
