2004/05 saw Roberto Mancini take over as manager for Inter and he led the team to a 3rd placed finish in Serie A as well as lifting the Coppa Italia. Striker Adriano continued his remarkable goal-scoring form after joining at the start of the season with 28 goals in all competitions.
