San Jose wore this shirt for 2 MLS seasons and it was created to commemorate their 2001 MLS Cup win by using a similar design.

Javier López, better known by his nickname as 'La Chofis' was signed on loan in January 2021. He scored 6 goals and assisted once in 6 matches during September 2021 to earn the MLS Player of the Month award and was shortlisted for the 2021 MLS Newcomer of the Year Award.
