ITALY 1996-97 PLAYER ISSUE LS AWAY SHIRT - DI MATTEO 16 - XL

Very good condition. Player issue shirt where the Nike Swoosh was not included in the design due to federation regulation. The Nike patch on the lower front was also not included as these were only present on replicas. Federation crest is embroidered. No pulls, few small marks and bobbles to right side of shirt and lower rear. Player name/number are flock and heat applied. Colours and stitching in excellent condition.

Italy's Euro 1996 campaign was a disappointing one for the Azzurri. Under the guidance of coach Arrigo Sacchi, the team failed to meet expectations. Placed in a challenging group alongside Germany, the Czech Republic, and Russia, Italy struggled to find their rhythm. They drew their opening match against Germany but suffered defeats to both the Czech Republic and Russia, finishing bottom of the group.
