Worn across 2 seasons, this design is most fondly remembered by Wigan fans as the shirt that clinched to promotion to the Premier League. After just missing out on a place in the 2003/04 play-offs, the Latics secured promotion on the final day of the 2004/05 season as runners-up in their division.

After only 27 years as a Football League club, Wigan Athletic won promotion to English football's top flight for the first time in their history, this was also their highest-ever finish in the Football League in their history.
