The 2019/20 marked the first full season of Spurs playing at their new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. They started poorly only winning 3 of their first 12 league games before Mauricio Pochettino was sacked in mid November 2019, less than 6 months after taking the team to the Champions League final.

He was replaced by José Mourinho who took charge for the rest of the disrupted season which was restarted in June. The club finished 6th in the league and were eliminated in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
