The 2015/16 season was a challenging one for Swansea as they initially struggled under manager Garry Monk and by mid December he was replaced by Francesco Guidolin with Swansea 2 points above the relegation zone.

Despite fan and pundit reservations about his appointment, the manager steered Swansea clear of trouble and the team ended the season in 12th place.
