Following a close call with relegation in 2003/04, surviving by just 3 points, the Owls turned things around and won promotion back to the Championship in 2004/05 as Play-Off winners under boss Paul Sturrock. The Owls were 2-1 down to Hartlepool before producing a stunning comeback to win 4-2 in extra time.
