Real Madrid finished second in La Liga during the 2025/26 campaign, securing qualification for the following season's UEFA Champions League during a year of significant changes at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Following Carlo Ancelotti's departure, former Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso was appointed manager, returning to the club after his successful spell with Bayer Leverkusen.
The squad featured established players including Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, Antonio Rüdiger and Thibaut Courtois, alongside new arrivals Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen and Álvaro Carreras.
Madrid began the league campaign strongly, winning their opening six La Liga fixtures and establishing themselves among the leading title contenders.
However, inconsistent performances during the middle of the season placed increasing pressure on Alonso, who departed in January 2026. Former Madrid defender Álvaro Arbeloa subsequently took charge, overseeing the remainder of the campaign as the club attempted to challenge Barcelona for the league championship.
Despite recording 27 league victories, Madrid were unable to secure the title, eventually finishing second in La Liga with 86 points. The team scored 77 league goals and conceded 35, with Mbappé remaining an influential figure in attack throughout the campaign.
In the UEFA Champions League, Madrid progressed to the quarter-finals before being eliminated by Bayern Munich. Their Copa del Rey campaign ended in the Round of 16 following defeat against Albacete, while Barcelona defeated Madrid in the Supercopa de España final.
Although the campaign ended without one of the three major trophies, Madrid remained competitive in La Liga and Europe, with several established players continuing to play important roles. The season represented a transitional period for the club, marked by managerial changes and the continued development of a squad combining experienced internationals with emerging talents.
Produced by adidas, the 2025/26 Real Madrid home shirt featured the club's traditional white colourway with contrasting black three-stripe detailing and yellow piping inspired by the colours of the club crest. Subtle grey patterns and textures referenced the architecture and history of the Santiago Bernabéu, while a rounded collar, the Real Madrid crest and Emirates Fly Better sponsor completed the design.
Worn during a campaign featuring Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior and Bellingham, the shirt represents a modern interpretation of Madrid's established home colours during a period of change at the club.

Condition
Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.
Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.
Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.
Our condition guide
10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.
9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.
8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.
7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.
6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.
Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.
