Porto finished third in the Primeira Liga during the 2024/25 campaign, experiencing a season of managerial changes and transition following the departure of Sérgio Conceição.

Having finished third the previous season, Porto entered the campaign under newly appointed head coach Vítor Bruno, who had previously served as Conceição's assistant. The squad featured established players including Diogo Costa, Pepê, Alan Varela, Galeno and Nico González, alongside summer arrivals Samu Aghehowa and Francisco Moura.

Porto began the campaign by winning the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, producing a remarkable comeback against Sporting CP to secure a 4–3 victory after extra time. Despite this early success, inconsistent league performances prevented Porto from establishing a sustained challenge for the championship.

Bruno departed in January 2025, with Argentine manager Martín Anselmi appointed as his replacement. Porto continued to compete for European qualification but ultimately finished third in the Primeira Liga, behind champions Sporting and runners-up Benfica.

Samu Aghehowa enjoyed an impressive debut campaign following his arrival from Atlético Madrid, finishing as the club's leading goalscorer with 27 goals across all competitions. The Spanish striker quickly established himself as an important attacking figure, combining physical presence with consistent goalscoring performances.

Young midfielder Rodrigo Mora also emerged as one of Porto's most promising players, contributing important goals and creativity during the second half of the campaign.

In the UEFA Europa League, Porto progressed through the league phase before facing Roma in the knockout phase play-offs. Following a 1–1 draw in Portugal, Porto suffered a 3–2 defeat in Rome, ending their European campaign with a 4–3 aggregate loss.

Domestically, Porto were eliminated from the Taça de Portugal by Moreirense, while their Taça da Liga campaign ended against Sporting in the semi-finals. Although the campaign concluded without further silverware, Porto secured European qualification and continued the development of several important young players.

Produced by New Balance, the 2024/25 Porto away shirt featured a predominantly orange design with a distinctive geometric gradient pattern inspired by the flames of the club's dragon emblem. Blue detailing across the collar and sleeves complemented the design, alongside the Porto crest, New Balance branding and Betano sponsor. Worn by Samu, Galeno and Varela during a transitional campaign, the shirt represents a bold alternative to Porto's traditional blue-and-white colours.

Condition
Condition: 8/10 - Excellent

Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.

Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.

Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.

Our condition guide

10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.

9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.

8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.

7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.

6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.

Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.

- Avoid direct heat from radiators and strong sunlight where possible
- Do not tumble dry

Storage

- Store in a cool, dry place
- Keep away from damp environments or direct sunlight
- For long-term storage, fold carefully to avoid stressing prints and badges
- If hanging, use a wide/padded hanger to help maintain shape

Protecting prints, badges and sponsor logos

- Do not iron directly over prints, namesets, patches or sponsor logos
